Booking with Confidence: What You Need to Know About My Cancellation Policy

I have some of the best clients, they book in advance, and it is rare that a missed appointment or last minute cancelation happens. Nobody wants to cancel their Massage but sometimes life gets in the way. Plans change, illness happens, the weather is unpredictable or maybe you’re feeling better than you thought you would. It’s important to know what to expect when cancelling an appointment. I want my cancellation policy to have a balance between what is fair for my client but at the same time protects me from both burnout and financial loss. I want to allow for flexibility and understanding; I don’t want cancellation fees to feel punitive, but I also need to protect my time.

When you book a treatment as much as you are paying for a service and there are specific expectations that go along with that, you are also paying for my time which is set aside and is specifically reserved for you. That includes things like the time required to do assessments or go over rehab when required. So, if you book a treatment and cancel on short notice and I can’t fill that spot I’ve at the very least lost out financially but because I commute in from Moose Jaw I have also potentially lost a great amount of time that where I could have been productive do something else.

The Clinic’s policy is we require 48 hours’ notice of all cancellations otherwise a cancellation fee of the total cost of the treatment will be charged to the credit card on file. A lot can happen in 48 hours, and I want to be mindful of that and offer flexibility where I can.

Therefore, my personal cancellation policy is up to 48 hours in advance you can cancel or reschedule online, you can also contact the clinic if you’d prefer, but you can cancel up to 48 hours with no fees charged. After 48 hours you must contact the clinic to reschedule or cancel. With up to 24 hours’ notice if you reschedule for a time within the week, I will waive the cancellation fee.  When cancelling, especially with less than 24 hours’ notice, expect the cancellation fee of the total cost of the treatment to be charged to the credit card on file. A reduced cancellation fee may occur on a case-by-case basis and a reduced cancellation fee in the past does not guarantee a reduced fee in the future. Frequent and/or habitual last-minute cancellations and missed appointments may result in an end to our client practitioner relationship and you will no longer be allowed to book treatments with me.

My goal is always to work with my clients to create a safe, comfortable and understanding environment, and a clear cancelation policy is part of that, if you have any questions please reach out to me. I appreciate your understanding and thank you for your continued trust!
